Freshmen Short Story Unit

I always get very excited about our short story unit because it has such variety, something for everyone. We've learned the structure and literary terms and now we we'll be reading, viewing and listening to short stories. The feature piece for today is "The Lady or The Tyger" by Richard Stockton. If you are not able to finish in class, go to the comprehensive short story site, www.classicshorts.com . Search it by title. Have fun.

Freshman, thanks! And here is the grammar study site.

Hello to my freshmen. We are now in the second half of the first quater. Please check your grades on homelogic to get an idea of how you are doing. Share that information with your parents and please thank them for attending "back to school night" if they were able.

As you know, your Power Point presentations are to be sent via an attachment to your email before Oct. 15th when we will down load them to my share drive. Keep reading and keep creating. I'm looking forward to your finished project.

Now for a website that we'll be looking at in class but that you will need to access regularly throughout the year to study. You may want to save it to "favorites" so that you don't have to keep going to the blog in order to get the address. We be looking at this site tomorrow in class. http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/ppt/parts.pps See you tomorrow !
